The job purpose is to provide an effective and efficient HR function and support the Organization

Key responsibilities of the post include:

  • Manage all aspects of HR (staff selection & recruitment, employment, leavers etc).-
  • Prepare all staff contracts, job descriptions, HR policies and forms-
  • Oversee the application and dealing with employment references
  • Work closely with management to support all people-related queries
  • Provide advice and support with any employee relations issues and manage cases effectively and efficiently, ensuring proper compliance with Employment Law
  • Support the training and development of management in formal matters, including sickness absence and performance management-
  • Liaise with the Payroll administration regarding staff salaries, invoices and other payments
  • Manage all HR files, including compliance with UKVI requirements and UKVI guidelines in preventing illegal immigration and employment
  • Be responsible for accurate data about staff immigration status
  • Conduct the induction programmes for all new starters
  • Prepare and organise the Staff Annual appraisals
  • Manage the HR Management system (SMS), ensuring data is accurately uploaded
  • Contribute to the resolution of employee relations matters working in liaison with internal/external legal advisers
  • Facilitate employee complaints, grievances, conflict resolution/mediation and investigations
  • Participate in Management and External body meetings relating to Company staff and HR matters
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as required

You are also expected to:

  • Observe the clocking system of the Organization
  • Give good notice of any absence (on the day of absence to call at the Organization’s Reception and inform about his/her absenteeism not later than 8:30am);
  • Keep up to date with developments of the job area. Participate in training activities both in Organization and at external locations in respect of Continuing Professional Development (CPD);
  • Adhere to general standards of conduct embodied in Organization policies and procedures (e.g. health and safety, equality and diversity, etc.);
  • Work flexibly and efficiently, maintain the highest professional standards and promote and implement the policies of the Organization;
  • All members of staff are expected to manage and develop their role and responsibilities so as to focus on improving the Organization services to student and other clients. The individual should represent and positively market the Organization at any appropriate opportunity.

These values are supported by behavioural statements and you are expected to practice these behaviours at all times and to contribute to their development throughout all parts of the Organization’s operations, services and sites.

  • Travel to other sites of the Organization

The post holder must respect the confidentiality of data stored electronically and by other means in line with the Data Protection Act 2018.
